Nedumkandam: Police registered a case after a businessman organised a night party, including belly dance, DJ and alcohol, at a private resort at Rajappara near Santhanpara violating all coronavirus protocols.
The Santhanpara police on Thursday registered a case against Thannikkod group chairman Roy Kurian for organising the night party.
The night party was organised on June 28 to celebrate the inauguration of Thannikkod group’s new business entity at Chathurangapara near Udumbanchola. The party started at 8 pm and went on for six hours until 2 am. It is learned that leaders of religious heads, political leaders, movie stars, public representatives and highly placed officials attended the party.
A private event management company made all the arrangements for the party at the resort. From preliminary reports police have learned that around 300 people have attended the party. Around 60 to 100 people were present at one time.
Alcohol was served during the party which had DJ and belly dance. The female dancer reportedly came from outside the state.
