‘I did it’; Suraj confesses to murdering Uthra in front of media
Pathanamthitta: Suraj, the main accused in the Anchal murder case, has confessed to murdering his wife Uthra. The accused confessed to the crime in front of the media during evidence collection.
As part of follow up procedures in connection with the case registered under the Wildlife Protection Act following Uthra’s murder, Suraj and co-accused Suresh were brought to the house in Parakkot for evidence collection.
During evidence collection, Suraj broke into tears in front of the media and said “I did it.” When asked why he murdered Uthra, Suraj did not respond properly. When asked if there was a motive behind the murder, Suraj said no. Suraj confessed that he bought the two snakes to murder Uthra. When asked if his parents were involved in the crime, Suraj said no.
Meanwhile, Suresh said that no other girl should face such a fate. Stating that he also has a daughter, Suresh said that everything will be proven before the almighty.
Forest department officials clarified that Suraj had confessed to the murder and that his statement has been recorded.
However, Uthra’s brother Vishu said that Suraj was trying to save the other accused as he realised that he cannot escape.
