The accused had strangulated a young woman to death. Considering the circumstances of the crime, the Supreme Court asked “Is the accused a monster?” Because the act was committed in such a gruesome manner and we have not heard about such brutality till date. Does he know surgery?

It happened last year.

The accused Mohan murdered a young woman in a ghastly manner. He throttled her to death and then cut open her tummy and removed the vital organs like liver. Later he dumped her dress inside her belly and stitched it with a wire.

Terming the act of murder as the rarest of the rare, district court in Rajasthan imposed death penalty on the accused which was confirmed by the High court.

The accused thereupon filed an appeal in the Supreme Court.

The SC observed that the behaviour of the accused was like a monster. Does he know surgery? His act reveals such things.

Anyway the court said it has to examine the post-mortem report very carefully and also the behaviour of the accused. The whole records of the case will be examined because it looks so strange, the court observed.

The court stayed the death penalty till the next hearing.
