Lucifer Review - The Complete Actor's Complete Political Thriller
Mohanlal-Prithviraj movie ‘Lucifer’ is rich with mass scenes. The movie was able to present hero Mohanlal and all other stars in a powerful way.
The most important highlight of the movie is the beautiful frames. The movie has attractive sights ranging from the rural areas in Kerala to snowfall in Russia.
The movie progresses through the death of political stalwart PK Ramdas and the tactics and fight of a group of people to replace him. Mohanlal was placed in a way where people wish to see him in each scene. Instead of long dialogues, crisp conversations and Lal mannerisms are used to make the audience cheer.
All characters in the movie are powerful. Priyadarshini Ramdas played by Manju Warrier has a lot of emotional scenes. Priyadarshini’s brother and politician Jathin Ramdas (Tovino Thomas) also has several scenes which wins the hearts of audience. Bobby (Vivek Oberoi) and Govardhanan (Indrajith) have also a prominent presence.
Prithviraj has always said that he is an ardent fan of Mohanlal whenever he was speaking about ‘Lucifer’. The movie proves his comment to be 100 per cent true. It has every ingredient that fans wish in a Mohanlal starrer. It becomes a visual treat as Zayed Masood (Prithviraj) arrives with impactful fight scenes. The movie ends with a dialogue, ‘there is only one king’.
‘Lucifer’ is a mass movie which celebrates the mannerisms of superstar Mohanlal. In fact, it is a Mohanlal starrer which filled the audience’ hearts after ‘Pulimurugan’. By discussing the unseen dimensions in politics, the film conveys that politics is the most dramatic stage. It is a complete political thriller played by the complete actor. Sujith Vasudev’s visuals and Deepak Dev’s background music maintains the mood of the movie.
