When Jeethu Joseph casted Mohanlal’s son Pranav in ‘Aadhi’, he chose Jayaram’s son Kalidas for his latest movie ‘Mr & Ms Rowdy. Both of the movies unfolded the stories of youngsters who fought against the criminal acts in the society. The difference is that ‘Aadhi’ is in the backdrop of city and ‘Mr & Ms Rowdy has a village background.
The plot of the movie focuses on 5 youngsters who were stuck in the criminal world since childhood. Appu (Kalidas) is the leader of that group. The society tagged them as criminals for helping their friends in bad times. Then, no one recognized them even when they did good deeds. In that scenario, small quotation works were their only way to earn a living. They took quotation for executing hate campaign against stars, destroying posters of ward member and taking part in hunger strike for shutting down coir factory in their locality. Their economic status didn’t improve with this. Their dream was to become successful as their friend and popular quotation leader Dominic. Meanwhile, they meet a girl named Poornima through a quotation. The movie progresses through the twists which happen after this.
While the first half is presented through humorous situations, the latter half throws light on some serious social issues. Ganapathi, Shebin Benson, Vishnu Vijay and Sarath Sabha have played other members in the group. Aparna Balamurali has performed as Poornima. It is a character which demands excellent artistic skills. Priest played by Vijayaraghavan, channel owner Ambraham Mathew by Joy Mathew and Jeevan George by Vijay Babu are prominent characters in the movie.
The movie deals with gang war, love and revenge without much impact.
The climax fight scene is the main highlight of the movie. Saikumar, Meghanadhan, Bhagath Manuel, Shaheen Siddique and Esther Anil are other actors.
