‘Big Brother’ review: Mohanlal’s action thriller pleases fans
Mohanlal fans were eagerly waiting for the release of Big Brother directed by Siddique as the first Mohanlal movie of the decade. As the name suggests, the movie which is a thriller is about family relationships.
Mohanlal plays the role of Sachidanandan who commits a murder at a young age for his family and gets sentenced for double life term. Though, he is a prisoner who behaves well, his punishment was extended for 24 years. Sachidanandan’s past life comes to light when the story takes a turn.
Sachidanandan gets released from the prison with the continuous effort of his younger brother Manu. But as he spent a major part of his life in jail, he struggles a lot in his new life outside prison. He was mentally disturbed when he returns home. But he managed to overcome all the problems and wished to have a peaceful life. But unfortunately, some issues in his family turns his world upside down.
The action sequences and dialogues which give goosebumps to the fans are the major attraction of the movie. Stunt choreographer Silva composed the stunning action sequences.
As Big Brother is a thriller in the background of a family story, the director makes a keen attempt to attract all types of audience.
Songs composed by Deepak Dev and great visuals done by Jithu Damodar have given justice to the movie.
Interestingly, Bollywood star Arbaaz Khan has made his Mollywood debut with ‘Big Brother’. He plays the role of Vedantham IPS, a cop who encounters the drug mafia.
June fame Sarjano Khalid, Siddique, Honey Rose, Anoop Menon, Vishnu Unnikrishnan, Irshad and Tini Tom also impressed the fans in their roles.
