Won’t allow to release ‘Eesho’, PC George warns Nadirshah

Jayasurya starrer ‘Eesho’ directed by Nadirshah has been mired in controversies over its title. Kerala Janapaksham leader and ex-MLA PC George has lashed out at the makers of the movie over the title and warned that he won’t allow releasing the movie.

“I won’t leave Nadirshah and his team if they are not ready to change the title. I am really sad that Nadirshah took such a step. Don’t think that you can release a movie in this title. I won’t allow the release of the movie in any theatres. I will campaign against it across Kerala,” said PC George.

He also criticised the filmmakers for defaming the Christian community by creating negative characters with a Christian name and using symbols like the cross as an identity of such characters.

Many Christian associations have come forward protesting against the title and tagline of the movie.

Following this, the makers of the movie removed the tagline which reads ‘Not From the Bible’.

Responding to the controversies Nadirshah has stated that Eesho is just the name of a character and he is ready to face any punishment if anyone finds the movie hurts religious sentiments.
