Thiruvananthapuram: The Kerala State Women’s Commission has registered a suo moto case against actor Alencier for allegedly misbehaving with a female journalist. Kerala State Women's Commission Chairperson P Sathidevi has also sought a report from Thiruvananthapuram rural SP D Shilpa regarding the incident.

Last week, the actor made an offensive misogynistic comment after receiving the Kerala State Film Award.

“The actor made shockingly misogynistic remarks in the presence of distinguished guests attending the award ceremony. If he had any disagreements, Alencier should not have accepted the award. Everyone expected the actor to apologise after the incident, but it did not happen,” noted the KWC chief.

“Following this, the state-award-winning actor also misbehaved with a female news reporter who had approached him for an interview. Alencier was booked in the incident as instructed by the Thiruvananthapuram Rural SP. The commission has sought a report regarding the incident,” said P Sathidevi.
