Kochi: Actor KB Ganesh Kumar handed over a letter to Association of Malayalam Movie Artistes (A.M.M.A) president Mohanlal over the statement of Edavela Babu which sparked a controversy. Ganesh Kumar accused the association of according different justices to Dileep and Vijay Babu. He urged AMMA to give an explanation for adopting two different stances in both cases.
Ganesh Kumar questioned why Edavela Babu had attempted to insult Jagathy Sreekumar. He also queried why Bineesh Kodiyeri’s case pertaining to financial fraud has been compared to a sexual assault case. In the letter, he pointed out the action of publishing a video which featured Vijay Babu’s entry in the A.M.M.A meeting was inappropriate and demanded Mohanlal respond to the issue.
Ganesh Kumar had reacted against Edavela Babu earlier also when the latter commented that the film stars’ association A.M.M.A is a club.
"Edavela Babu had said that A.M.M.A is a club. Why did he issue such a statement?. I have placed Edavela Babu in the seat of vice chairman of the Kerala Film Development Corporation. He might have forgotten this,” said Ganesh Kumar.
He also demanded that Edavela Babu should withdraw his statement and issue an apology.
