Verbal abuse case: Journalist to withdraw complaint against Sreenath Bhasi

Kochi: The journalist, who filed a complaint against actor Sreenath Bhasi for verbally abusing her, said she is ready to withdraw the complaint. The journalist consented her lawyer to withdraw the written complaint lodged against him.

Sreenath Bhasi faced the ire of the public after he allegedly misbehaved during an interview conducted by an online media ahead of the release of his movie ‘Chattambi’. Following this, the Maradu police arrested him and released him on station bail based on the complaint of the journalist.

Following this, Kerala Film Producers Association (KFPA) slapped a temporary ban on the actor. However, he was allowed to complete the filming of the movies he had already committed.

Further, samples were collected by the police to ascertain whether the actor used drugs while attending the interview. With the anchor willing to withdraw the complaint, actor Sreenath Bhasi approached Kerala High Court to quash FIR registered in the case.
