Sophia Paul, producer of the much acclaimed movie ‘Minnal Murali’, on Sunday dropped a major hint about the sequel to the blockbuster featuring Tovino Thomas in a superhero role.
Taking to Instagram, Paul shared the insignia of Minnal Murali and wrote in caption, "Minnal'' followed by two lightning bolts hinting that the next movie in the franchise will go on floors soon.
Despite being an action blockbuster, ‘Minnal Murali’, directed by Basil Joseph, was directly released on OTT in 2021. Even though made in a modest budget of Rs 20 crore, the film went on to garner wide attention from cinephiles across the country.
For the film, Basil Joseph had also bagged several honours, including the Asian Academy Awards 2022 in the Best Direction (Fiction) category.
Apart from Tovino, ‘Minnal Murali’ featured Femina George, Guru Somasundaram, Shelly Kumar, Aju Varghese, Harisree Ashokan among others in prominent roles.
