Actor Vinayakan opened up about the remuneration he received for acting in the film ‘Jailer’. Contrary to rumors circulating about him being paid Rs 35 lakhs, Vinayakan clarified that his compensation exceeded this figure.. Vinayakan also pointed out that he was treated very well on set.
Speaking to a YouTube channel, Vinayakan refuted the false narrative of receiving Rs 35 lakh remuneration and said it was spun by some poisonous people. He added that he was paid the amount he had initially requested.
“I don’t like acting in real life and that's why I avoid going out altogether. I can’t smile at strangers. I think of it as a bad thing. I held the role of ‘Varman’ in Jailer for a year. Even when I wasn't shooting, I would keep thinking about that character. I have never played such a stretched role before”, Vinyakan said about his character in ‘Jailer’.
The actor added that he presents his opinion via social media. Once it reaches the intended audience, he removes it which many claim is a ‘withdrawal’ of his statements. Vinayakan said that it’s not a withdrawal but rather a tying up of loose ends.
