Veteran lyricist and director Sreekumaran Thampi on Friday lauded actor Mammootty and filmmaker Lijo Jose Pellissery for their latest release ‘Nanpakal Nerathu Mayakkam’.
Taking to Facebook, Thampi praised Mammootty and wrote, “I watched ‘Nanpakal Nerathu Mayakkam’. Mammootty has reached the zenith as an actor and producer. His acting meets international standards. Lijo Jose Pellissery is definitely a genius. This youth is about to scale heights.”
The lyricist went on to add that ‘Nanpakal Nerathu Mayakkam’ is one of the rare movies that amazed him after spending 57 years of his life in cinema.
The film, which features several actors such as Ramya Pandyan, Ashokan, Kainakary Thankaraj, Suresh Babu, Chetan Jayalal, Rajesh Sharma among others, is co-produced by Mammootty along with Pellissery.
The movie, which had its world premiere at the 27th International Film Festival of Kerala (IFFK), hit theatres on January 19, 2023.
