Amid ongoing talks about the lack of disciplined behaviour among Mollywood actors, director Omar Lulu has levelled serious allegations against actor Soubin Shahir saying he never picks up calls or comes for dubbing.
Speaking in an interview to a private channel, Lulu said, “Currently, newcomers are the problem in Malayalam cinema. Siddique, Edavela Babu, Mukesh, Urvashi among others have acted in my movie. They will let us know their arrival time, so that we can prepare the shoot chart accordingly. The communication is accurate there.”
“I have not had many experiences. I make my movies with a lot of newbies. I have heard many people saying that several (young) actors won’t even pick calls. That’s how the issue with Soubin began during the shooting of ‘Happy Wedding’. He will never come for dubbing,” Lulu alleged.
Furthermore, the director added that once Shine Tom Chacko had texted him and asked whether Soubin came for the dubbing. “However, I don’t know if Shine will agree to what I say now,” he added.
Following the ban on actors Sreenath Bhasi and Shane Nigam, several filmmakers had levelled similar allegations against popular actors, with Lulu’s current remarks adding to the list.
