Singer Nanchamma flys to UK, visits The Beatles’ homeland 


National Award-winning singer Nanchamma visited Liverpool, the land of the popular English rock band ‘The Beatles’. The tribal woman from Kerala’s Attapadi reportedly arrived in London for an art and music concert.

Nanchamma won the National Award for the best playback singer for her song ‘Kalakkatha’ in the movie ‘Ayyappanum Koshiyum’ directed by Sachy. She received the award from President Draupadi Murmu at a ceremony in Delhi. Following the ceremony, she flew to London to take part in the music concert.
