Short film about importance of quarantining NRIs gathers appreciation in social media

A short film titled ‘Arikil’, that talks about the importance of maintaining social distancing, is gaining a lot of attention in social media. The short film tells the story of a NRI from Oman who returned home and his family who arranged home quarantine for him.

It captures the pain of having to communicate to one of the family members sitting in two different rooms of the house. But it also tells the audience that it is for the greater good of the family.

The short film also educates on how an NRI should be welcomed upon his return home and about the quarantine facilities that have to be arranged for him.

Sunny Wayne is playing the lead character in the short film. The short film was made by IMA Kochi, NHM Ernakulam and DMO Ernakulam under the guidance of Ernakulam district committee. The short film was released by Mohanlal. The short film was directed by Amrith and co directed by Vinoth Mathew.
