Hyderabad: Superstar Rajinikanth who was admitted to Apollo Hospitals on Friday for severe blood pressure fluctuations is stable and improving, the hospital said.
Stating that he is "progressing well", a release from the corporate hospital said it will decide on his discharge by Saturday evening.
According to the hospital bulletin, Rajinikanth’s blood pressure is still high but under control. Further investigations will be done on Saturday and the results are expected by evening.
Based on the investigations and further test results, his discharge will be decided by Saturday evening.
Rajinikanth was shooting for a movie here for the past 10 days. He had isolated himself and was being monitored after a few people on the shooting sets tested COVID-19 positive.
The 70-year-old actor, however, tested negative.
Apart from fluctuating blood pressure and exhaustion, he does not have any other symptoms and is "haemodynamically" stable, the statement said.
Rajinikanth had earlier announced that he will launch his own political outfit and face the polls. He is likely to disclose more about his plans by the end of this month.
