Mohanlal commented that his one side hanging shoulder is a ‘manufacturing defect’. During an interview for the promotion of ‘Marakkar: Arabikadalinte Simham’, Mohanlal commented that his most praised feature, the hanging shoulder, is hereditary and sees it as a trait. His mother, grandfather also have such a bend over the shoulder.
Director Priyadarshan supported it by saying that this bend is there since they both know each other. Priyadarshan also said that considering this hanged shoulder, he has written the six-line description about Marakkar in the movie. Everyone has body language. Mammootty, Mohanlal, Amitabh Bachchan or anyone has a unique feature just like their voice, modulation or gestures.
The movie earned Rs 100 crores through just reservations. Pre-bookings started on the day when the release of 'Marakkar’ was announced. The movie is released in five languages on 4100 screens with 16,000 shows on each day. Out of the 631 screens in Kerala, 626 are screening the movie.
