Actor Prithviraj Sukumaran on Thursday reacted vehemently to the allegations made against him by a YouTube channel. As per the reports put out by the channel on May 11, Prithviraj has been making propaganda films and thus forced to pay Rs 25 crore to the Enforcement Directorate (ED).
However, Prithviraj lashed out at online portals making unsubstantiated claims against him and expressed his regret. He made it clear that he didn't pay the fine, as the portal suggested.
Taking to social media, the actor stated that a YouTube channel had published a false and defamatory story alleging that he had paid a fine of Rs 25 crore pursuant to proceedings initiated by the Enforcement Directorate and claimed that he was making propaganda films.
He further added that he will initiate legal action against the channel and requested all responsible media channels to do further reporting on the allegations only after verifying the facts.
Meanwhile, on the work front, Prithviraj will be next seen in 'Aadujeevitham' in which he plays a Malayali immigrant worker forced into slavery as a goatherd on a farm in Saudi Arabia.
