Oscar winner Keeravani returns to Malayalam film industry after 27 years

Thiruvananthapuram: After the historic win for ‘Naatu Naatu’ song at Oscars 2023, music composer MM Keeravani is set to work in Malayalam movie yet again.

Keeravani was in the state capital to take part in the launch of the Mollywood film 'Magician', which marks his comeback to the industry after a hiatus of 27 years.

The last time Keeravani worked in the Malayalam industry was in 1996 in the film 'Devaragam' which was a huge success. He said he was very happy to return to Malayalam industry after a long gap.

At the event, Keervani sang some of his favourite compositions by MS Baburaj including the evergreen hit ‘Surumayezhuthiya Mizhikale’ from ‘Khadeeja’.

The ceremony was attended by Education Minister V Sivankutty, actors Guinness Pakru, Kishore Sathya among others.
