Accused Krishna Prasad

Kochi: The Kochi city cyberpolice on Monday took two people into custody for allegedly sharing an obscene video against actor and AMMA general secretary Edavela Babu on social media.

The accused have been identified as Thiruvananthapuram natives Krishna Prasad (59) and Vivek (30). “The police have recovered four mobile phones from them,” Kochi city cyber cell police SHO told mathrubhumi.com.

As per reports, the accused had shared the video, which contains lewd remarks against the actor, on Instagram four days back. Following which, Babu lodged a complaint with the cyber police.

Initially, the accused were summoned for interrogation and later taken into custody. The video contained obscene remarks slamming the actor’s recent comments on the movie ‘Mukundan Unni Associates’.

Speaking at the Kerala Legislature International Book Festival (KLIBF), Babu had earlier termed the movie as “completely negative” and accused the heroine’s character of using foul language.

‘Mukundan Unni Associates’, directed by debutant Abhinav Sunder Nayak and produced by Dr Ajith Joy under the banner of Joy Movie Productions, was released on November 11, 2022.
