Thiruvanchoor: Popular music director and recipient of Kerala Sangeetha Nataka Akademi Award NP Prabhakaran aka Raju Sir passed away on Friday. He was 76.
Prabhakaran is widely known for composing music for the movies “Ore Thooval Pakshikal’, ‘Sukhavasam’ and ‘Anappara Achamma’ among others.
He has also composed several festival songs for KJ Yesudas’ 'Tharangini’ and around hundreds of drama songs. He has also served as a section officer at Calicut University.
