Director Jude Anthony Joseph shared in an interview with Mathrubhumi News that his latest movie '2018' was not an investigative series to find out the truth about the Kerala floods. He was reacting to criticism of the movie, mostly by Left supporters on social media, that the film undermined the role of government machinery in fighting the natural disaster. They allege that Jude did that intentionally.
Jude acknowledged that those who criticise his work after watching it have every right to do so. However, he also noted that there have been many cyber attacks on him, which have become a habit. Jude explained that he still managed to handle everything even when he felt incompetent.
