Nobody came to help John Paul when he fell off bed: Kailash

Kochi: Actor Kailash revealed a bad experience faced by late scriptwriter John Paul. When John Paul fell off the bed, nobody helped the family to take him to the hospital, complained Kailash.

Talking to Mathrubhumi News, he alleged that Fire Force also declined the request for help.

Kailash's Facebook post on John Paul's horrific experience triggered heated discussions on social media. Amidst this, the actor has come up with an explanation for the social media post.

"The incident took place in January. I got a call from producer Jolly Joseph, a close friend of John Paul when I reached Kochi. He asked me to reach John Paul's residence immediately. When I arrived there, John Paul sir was seen lying on the floor. He asked us not to lift him as he had problems with his backbone. We called an ambulance service as John Paul sir told us to get a stretcher. But the ambulance service personnel declined our request saying that they provide service only to take patients to hospitals. Later, we contacted Fire Force but they also refused to turn up and asked us to call ambulance," said Kailash.

Describing the incident, Kailash recollected the pain of John Paul's wife.

"Finally, we contacted the police control room. Two cops reached John Paul's house but realised that it is not practical to lift him. John Paul sir fell off the bed around 10 am. Police reached his residence after 12 pm. He was sitting on the floor for more than 2 hours. At last, we got a stretcher after an ambulance from the medical centre reached there. We all stood helpless for hours," remembered Kailash.
