Kottayam: Veteran Malayalam filmmaker Adoor Gopalakrishnan rubbished the concept of new generation films. Taking a dig at the young filmmakers, he stated that they have outdated views.
He was addressing a programme organised by the Indian Institute of Mass Communication at Pambady here.
"If a person who introduces new ideas is a new generation, I'm also one among them. Old age should not be considered a parameter to oust a filmmaker from the new generation. Rather than young age, a filmmaker should have innovative ideas," pointed out the national award-winning filmmaker.
On the work front, 'Pinneyum' starring Dileep and Kavya Madhavan was Adoor's last released feature film. The movie was released in 2016.
