Palakkad: A complaint arose that BJP workers disrupted shooting of a movie near a temple in protest over capturing visuals of Hindu-Muslim romance.

The incident took place on the premises of Vayilyamkunnu temple in Kadambazhippuram here. The shooting of the movie ‘Neeyam Nadi’ was disrupted and the shooting equipments were destroyed.

Director Ashik Shinu Salman said that a group of people interrupted the shooting alleging a green flag was set up in front of the temple. They also declared that they would not let continue the shooting as the movie is about romance between Hindu and Muslim couple.

Meanwhile, BJP local leadership claimed that the shooting was conducted without seeking permission of the temple committee and the Devaswom Board. They also said that they would continue protesting against the shooting.
