Actress Shobana tests positive for Omicron; urges all to get vaccinated


Shobana wrote that she contracted Omicron even after taking necessary precautions. She informed that she was symptomatic only on the first day and that symptoms receded in the following days.

Chennai: Dancer and actress Shobana tested positive for the Omicron variant of COVID-19. She informed the matter through a social media post.

Shobana wrote that she contracted Omicron even after taking necessary precautions. She informed that she was symptomatic only on the first day and that symptoms receded in the following days.

She also pointed out the importance of getting vaccinated to prevent the disease from worsening and concluded her post on an optimistic note.

"I have contracted Omicron despite taking precautions. My symptoms were joint pains, chills and a scratchy throat which was followed by a slightly sore throat -This was only on the first day ! And every day my symptoms reduce greatly. I’m glad I took both my vaccines as I believe that it prevents the disease from progressing by 85 percent. I urge everyone else to do the same if you haven’t done so already.I hope and pray that this variant marks the end of the pandemic," wrote Shobana.

On the work front, the actress was last seen in Dulquer Salmaan starrer 'Varane Avashyamund'.
