Vismaya’s first book ‘Grains of Stardust’ is a collection of poems and paintings. Mohanlal released the book published by Penguin Books on February 14.

Mollywood star Dulquer Salmaan has received a copy of ‘Grains of Stardust’ penned by Vismaya Mohanlal, daughter of superstar Mohanlal. After reading the book, Dulquer took to his social media pages and penned a long note on his friendship with Vismaya aka Maya.

The actor also shared memory of his first meeting with Vismaya at her birthday party.

“My oldest fondest memory of Maya (Vismaya Mohanlal) is of her first birthday at the Taj Coramandel in Chennai. It was a huge party that her parents threw for her and she wore the most adorable gold outfit and was the cutest one-year-old we had seen. As the night wore on the birthday girl was missing. Her mum then informed us that she fell asleep. I’ll always remember that as the biggest party where the birthday girl fell asleep early,” Dulquer recollected.

“Now all grown up she’s carving her own path. At such a young age she’s a published writer and her poems, thoughts, doodles and art are way ahead of her years. They give you a wonderful insight into her mind, her growing up and her life experiences. I’ve attached one of my favourites from the book,” wrote the ‘Kurup’ actor.

Interestingly, Vismaya gifted the book to Dulquer who is a close friend of her from childhood. She also reacted to Dulquer’s post on Instagram.

“This is such a sweet post Chalu Chetta! Hahaha, I can’t believe you still remember that birthday party!! Thank you so much, this means a lot to me. Hope to see you soon!,” commented Vismaya.

Vismaya’s first book ‘Grains of Stardust’ is a collection of poems and paintings. Mohanlal released the book published by Penguin Books on February 14.

Vismaya's debut book contains over 70 short poems and paintings. Vismaya has taken inspiration from Japanese Haiku poems. The collection includes poems ranging from one liners to 15 liners. Love, separation, naughtiness and ideas are among the themes of the poems in the collection.

Penguin Books calls Vismaya’s work as – a journey through the river of human emotions. The Malayalam translation of the book by poets Rose Mary will be published by Mathrubhumi Books.
