Malayalam film fraternity paid tributes to actor Kochu Preman who breathed his last at a private hospital in Thiruvananthapuram on Saturday. The veteran actor who excelled in comedy roles had acted in over 250 films and numerous television serials in the past two decades.
Megastar Mammootty who shared screen space with Kochu Preman in many movies including ‘Ganagandharvan’ and ‘The Priest’ expressed condolences on his demise. The actor took to his Facebook page and penned a heartfelt note along with Kochu Preman’s photo.
“Rest in Peace,” wrote Prithviraj on his Instagram as paying homage to the late actor. Kochu Preman was last seen in Prithviraj’s super hit movie ‘Kaduva’ released in 2021.
Tovino Thomas, Kunchacko Boban and Manju Warrier also mourned the demise of the actor.
“Will be missed bigtime Chetta, The time spent with you…the laughters shared with you will remain forever,” wrote Kunchacko Boban on his social media pages as expressing his grief.
Actor Jayaram who played the lead role in Kochu Preman’s comeback movie ‘Dilliwala Rajakumaran’ penned a heartfelt note on his demise. He also recollected the light moments shared with Kochu Preman at the locations of movies. Jayaram noted that Kochu Preman will be always remembered.
Actors Guinness Pakru, Manoj K Jayan, Gokul Suresh, Sunny Wayne, and director Vinayan also took to their Facebook pages to pay homage to Kochu Preman.
