Mohanlal to decor his home with 'Vishwaroopam' sculpture 


Kovalam: Mohanlal visited the Vellar craft village to see the Vishwaroopam made for him. Expressed in the work, he hugged the sculptor and the sculpture in his signature fashion. The sculpture will be taken to the actor's residence in Chennai next week.

The 12 feet Vishwaroopam contains Lord Mahavishnu’s 11 faces with different expressions and related crafts. The situation which triggered the Mahabharata war is the theme of the sculpture. Based on the actor’s wish, it was built using Gamari wood worth Rs 50 lakhs.

Mohanlal who was abroad reached Vellar Craft Village around 8:30 am to see his dream sculpture.

"Everyone around the world has seen the sculpture which is being made for me through social media. So shouldn’t I see it?’ Mohanlal sarcastically asked the sculptor Vellar Nagappan. He later returned after taking photos with the sculptor and sculpture.

The superstar closely monitored even the minute details including the small idols on the Vishwaroopam sculpture. He expressed complete satisfaction over the magnificent work.
