Missing mother’s food, Mohanlal on his 60th birthday celebrations amid lockdown

“I am not viewing this lockdown as holidays. Many among my colleagues are struggling to make ends meet. We shall overcome this time soon. May God bless us all,” added Mohanlal.

Mollywood superstar Mohanlal, who turned 60 years old on Thursday, opened up about his birthday celebrations on a live programme in Mathrubhumi News.

“There is no birthday celebration at home due to the lockdown. I miss the food prepared by mother on my birthday. I am really sad that I missed it on this birthday,” said Mohanlal.

He also revealed his viewpoints on lockdown.

“There are many people who made many plans. Some are worried about not being able to execute it. I think it is a time which teaches people about life. I used to celebrate my birthday with family and friends whenever I get an opportunity. Usually, I take a foreign trip celebrating my birthday. I had planned a trip to Japan this time. On this birthday, I am sad about being unable to have food prepared by my mother. I have no other complaints. I am happy that I can video call my mother over phone. If I finish my lunch, I may stop missing mom’s food,” said Mohanlal.

He noted that he will celebrate his birthday next year as travelling is impossible now. The superstar also expressed his happiness in being with his family.

“I am not viewing these lockdown as holidays. Many among my colleagues are struggling to make ends meet. We shall overcome this time soon. May God bless us all,” added Mohanlal.
