Amid the boycott campaign against Kunchacko Boban starrer 'Nna Thaan Case Kodu', PWD minister PA Mohammed Riyas promised the filmmakers that he will watch the movie with his family. A poster of the movie triggered a controversy for allegedly criticising the Kerala government by portraying potholes on the road.
Addressing Mathrubhumi, Kunchacko Boban opened up about his conversation with minister Riyas. He pointed out that the minister handled the controversy in a practical manner.
"I contacted minister Riyas through a common friend. Interestingly, he accepted the content in the poster. He differentiated the movie and advertisement in its right sense. He promised us that he will watch the movie along with his family. I have many friends including ministers and MLAs. I have been informed that they want to watch 'Nna Thaan Case Kodu'," said Kunchacko Boban.
The movie triggered a controversy after its poster carried a tagline mocking the Kerala roads. A boycott campaign was started against the movie after some pro-CPM people criticised the movie on social media on Thursday. Reacting to the row, the PWD minister said that he accepts criticism and will make necessary changes in his department.
