Kochi enchanted in rhythm: Mathrubhumi launches ‘Kappa Originals’

Kochi: With the rhythm of melodies sung by Sayanora Philip and Job Kurian, ‘Kappa Originals’, the independent music label by Mathrubhumi, paved its way straight into the hearts of music lovers across the state.

The official launch of Kappa Originals took place at a grand event in Durbar Hall, Kochi on Sunday. The event saw live performances by Sayanora and Job Kurian from the label’s debut album ‘I’m Original’.

Around hundreds of music lovers took part in the event, which was launched by music director Bijibal.

Speaking at the event, Bijibal lauded Kappa Originals and said it is a place where sky is the limit. "It opens new doors of music for those passionate about music to write and compose new songs,” he added.

“Kappa Originals aims to offer a platform of opportunities for budding musicians. It is opening up new doors for musicians in a transparent manner,” said MV Shreyams Kumar, Managing Director, Mathrubhumi.

Two independent video songs, namely ‘Aare Jiyare’ (Hindi) by Sayanora Philip and ‘Athe Nila’ (Malayalam) by Job Kurian, were launched at the event.
