Manju Warrier extends support to the real COVID-19 fighters of Kerala

Thiruvananthapuram: Mollywood actress Manju Warrier appreciated the people who made headlines following their efforts in the battle against coronavirus. The actress interacted with these selected people over phone while taking part in the On-Call programme organized by Youth Congress under Youth Care.

At first, Manju phoned an official who was on duty at the health department’s control room. During this phone call, she also interacted with all other staff members who were in duty at the control room.

Representing the people in Kerala, the actress expressed gratitude to the officials who are serving the public amid the pandemic.

The second phone call was made to the nurse who contracted coronavirus while treating the aged couple from Pathanamthitta at Kottayam medical college. Manju promised the nurse that she will visit her once lockdown is lifted.

Home Guard Karunakaran from Kozhikode was the third lucky man who got the call from the lady superstar. He made headlines for creating awareness on coronavirus preventive measures in Hindi language among the migrant workers.

Manju Warrier also phoned the woman from Kozhikode and an employee at Nedumbassery airport who immediately contacted the health department after having initial symptoms of coronavirus.

On Sunday, actor Jayaram, his wife actress Parvathy and their son actor Kalidas will take part in the Youth Care On-call programme. Youth Congress arranged the programme to honour and thank those who have made remarkable contributions with a simple sensible act in the battle against coronavirus.
