‘I’m losing colour’; Mamta Mohandas says she is diagnosed with auto-immune disease vitiligo

Actor Mamta Mohandas on Sunday revealed that she has been diagnosed with vitiligo, an auto-immune disease that causes loss of skin colour in patches.

Taking to Instagram, the actor shared two pictures of her with the hashtag vitiligo and wrote, “Dear (sun emoji), I embrace you now like I have never before. So Spotted, I’m losing color… I rise even before you every morning, to see you glimmer your first ray through the haze. Give me all you’ve got.. for I will be indebted, here on out and forever by your grace.”

Mamta, who is a cancer survivor, underwent treatment in Los Angeles after she had a relapse of the disease a few years ago.

Soon after her post drew attention, numerous people, including her friends and fans, lauded the actor for her willpower and wished for a speedy recovery.

Meanwhile, on the professional front, Mamta was last seen in the legal thriller ‘Jana Gana Mana’, starring Prithviraj and Suraj Venjarammoodu among others.
