Kaduthuruthy (Kottayam): Actor Mammootty on Thursday paid a visit to the house of Dr Vandana Das, who was brutally stabbed to death by a patient at Kottarakkara taluk hospital on Wednesday.
The actor arrived at the house around 8.30 pm and was accompanied by actor-director Ramesh Pisharody and producer Anto Joseph. He spent around 15 minutes with the deceased’s parents Mohandas and Vasanthakumari, and consoled them.
Former Kerala State Youth Commission chairperson Chintha Jerome also paid a visit to Vandana’s house and expressed condolences.
Meanwhile, the funeral of Vandana Das took place in the vicinity of her house on Thursday afternoon amid the presence of hundreds of people who came to pay their respects.
