As Sidharth Bharathan’s ‘Chathuram’ continues to garner mixed response from viewers following OTT release, the film’s lead actor Swasika has opened up about her role and shooting experience.

Speaking in an exclusive interview with Club FM, Swasika said that late actor KPAC Lalitha was the first one to laud her performance in the movie. “Lailthamma (KPAC Lalitha) called me after watching Chathuram’s preview and told me jokingly that it was her son who gave me the best movie.”

The actor, who currently has 948K Instagram followers, revealed that she lost a large number of followers since the release of the film and added, “I think those who unfollowed me are my ‘Chechi Fans’ who loved my performance in the television serial ‘Seetha’. However, I think I have gained new followers as well."

‘Chathuram’, which hit the theatres on November 4, 2022, also features Roshan Mathews and Alencier Ley Lopez in lead roles. The movie is written by Sidharth Bharathan and Vinoy Thomas, and is censored with an A certificate. The film had its OTT release on March 9, 2023.
