‘Kilometres and Kilometres’ release postponed amid Coronavirus scare

The revised release date of the movie will be announced later.

When people around the globe are in panic over coronavirus outbreak, actor Tovino Thomas informed that release of his upcoming movie ‘Kilometres and Kilometres’ is postponed. The movie was scheduled for release on March 12.

In his Facebook post, Tovino revealed that the release of the movie was postponed as a precautionary measure to control the spread of COVID-19. He also pointed out the need to avoid public gatherings.

“We are postponing the release of our new movie ‘Kilometres and Kilometres’ realising that avoiding public gatherings is the effective measure to control spread of COVID-19. The movie is a long-time dream and effort of many people. But at this moment, we must give priority to our health. I am sure we will survive this challenge too like Nipah. Be responsible to take care of yourself as well as others and follow the guidelines of health department,” wrote Tovino in his Facebook post.

The filmmakers took the decision to postpone the release after the health department issued warning on the outbreak of Coronavirus. So far, 6 tested positive for coronavirus in the state.

The revised release date of the movie will be announced later.

Kilometres and Kilometres directed by Jeo Baby has Tovino and American actress India Jarvis in the lead roles. The movie narrates the story of a Kerala youth and an American woman who is on Kerala trip.
