Dubai: Child artiste Avaan who portrayed the childhood of Tovino Thomas in the superhero movie 'Minnal Murali' has made his way to Bollywood. Avaan is over the moon after getting the opportunity to act in the Hindi film 'Pahadom Mein' directed by Raam Reddy.
Kozhikode native Avaan entered the entertainment field as an anchor while he was in his kindergarten in Dubai. He made his movie debut with 'Jimmy Ee Veedinte Aiswaryam'. He has also acted in an advertisement for Britannia Biscuits. It was after that he got the part of young Jaison in 'Minnal Murali'. Director Basil Joseph selected Avaan for this role after seeing his videos on YouTube.
His parents have now enrolled him in a school in Kozhikode to accommodate his acting career. Avaan is getting more opportunities and calls from movies. Eight-year-old Avaan is the son of Kozhikode Nadakkavu native Saheer Pookottur and Roshna. Saheer works in the health sector in Dubai. Avaan’s brother Aman Roshan is also very talented. He is a B.Tech student.
