Mollywood actor Jayaram will act in veteran Kollywood director Mani Ratnam's upcoming movie ‘Ponniyin Selvan’. It is for the first time, Jayaram is working with Mani Ratnam.
According to reports, Jayaram has started shooting for the movie in Thailand.
A pic of Jayaram along with his Kollywood stars Jayam Ravi and Karthi, his co-stars in the movie, went viral on social media. In the movie, Jayaram is donning a clean shaven look.
‘Ponniyin Selvan’ has a big star cast including Vikram, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, Vikram Prabhu, Trisha, Aishwarya Rajesh, Ashwin Kakumanu, Sarath Kumar, Prabhu and Kishore are acting in the movie.
Apart from Jayaram, Mollywood stars Lal and Aishwarya Lekshmi will be seen in the movie. It is also rumoured that Vijay Setupathi will play a pivotal role in the movie.
'Ponniyin Selvan' will be a big budget movie based on the novel by Kalki Krishnamoorthy. The novel portrays the life of King Arulmozhi Varman aka Raja Raja Chola I. This is Mani Ratnam’s dream project.
Mani Ratnam and Kumara Vel penned the script. Mani Ratnam owned Madras Talkies and Lyca Productions are mutually producing the movie.
