Tollywood actor Suriya said that he is in discussions over a movie with Anjali Menon and Jyothika. However, the actor said that a final decision is yet to be conducted.

Suriya was addressing the media in connection with the release of his movie ‘Soorarai Pottru’. Suriya added that SpiceJet helped a lot during filming.

“I enjoy becoming another person in the movies. My transformation into an 18-year-old in the movie is only for a few scenes. But I worked hard for it. This is the time of the coronavirus pandemic. There is no school and weddings are no longer a celebration. What we can do is accept the situation. One advantage of OTT release is that many people sitting at different places can watch the movie at the same time,” he said.

Speaking about Aparna Balamurali’s character in ‘Soorarai Pottru’, Suriya said her character was as important as his. She has worked really hard to play the character. ‘Soorarai Pottru’ is not a complete biopic. But all that is necessary for a commercial film has happened in the life of a retired Army Captain, GR Gopinath, who founded the low cost airline, Air Deccan. Director Sudha Kongara has presented it exceptionally, said Suriya.

Mohan Babu from Tollywoood, Urvashi from Mollywood and Paresh Rawal from Bollywood have been part of the movie. The story demanded actors from various languages. It was not the selection of the director or the producer, he said.

Suriya added that he is in discussions regarding a movie with Anjali Menon and Jyothika but a final decision is yet to be taken.

Bommi in ‘Soorarai Pottru’ cannot be compared to Meera in ‘8 Thottakkal’. I have worked really hard to play Bommi. As the character had a Madurai dialect, there were two people to help me while dubbing. I am satisfied with having worked hard, Aparna Balamurali added.

“All those who worked alongside me in ‘Soorarai Pottru’ focus on details. Working with Sudha Kongara has given me more confidence. I believe that I can be selective in movies from now,” she said.
