IFFK 2022 to begin on December 9; 185 films at 15 theatres

The 27th International Film Festival of Kerala (IFFK) will begin on December 9. A total of 185 films will be screened at 15 theatres. The eight-day festival will end on December 16.

The main attractions this year will be films that evoke the beauty of silence and Siberian movies about war, life and survival. Six films from Siberia will be screened at the festival.

International competition, Indian cinema now, Malayalam cinema today are among the 17 categories for this year’s festival.

Special packages with the movies of directors like FW Murnau, Emir Kusturica, Alejandro Jodorowsky among others and Silent films with live music will also be a part of the festival.

Late director Jean-Luc Godard, writer TP Rajeevan and others will be honoured.
