Thiruvananthapuram: Police have registered a case against those who protested at the International Film Festival of Kerala (IFFK) venue. The museum police registered a case against Vazhuthacaud native Kishor (25), Thrissur native Niharika (21), Kollam native Muhammad Haneen (25) and over 30 others. The charges include unlawful assembly and attempt to cause a riot.

On Monday, clashes erupted at the Tagore theatre over reservations for Mammootty-starrer ‘Nanpakal Nerathu Mayakkam’. Following this, several delegates organised a sit-in protest at the theatre.

According to the FIR, those who protested were trying to enter the Tagore theatre's office without a delegate pass or proper documents. It also states that they continued to protest even after the police asked them to disperse, following which three of the accused were arrested and removed.
