Megastar Chiranjeevi-starrer Godfather, the official Telugu remake of Mollywood blockbuster Lucifer, is hitting theatres worldwide on Wednesday. The movie, directed by Mohan Raja, also has Bollywood actor Salman Khan in a cameo role. Ahead of the film’s release, the megastar has left Mohanlal fans irked with his latest comments about the latter’s movie.

Speaking at a media event, Chiranjeevi said that he was not completely satisfied with Mohanlal’s Lucifer, directed by Prithviraj Sukumaran. ‘’After watching the original, I felt that something was missing and I was not completely satisfied. After Mohan Raja made changes to the Telugu version, I felt that Godfather is the film I was waiting for’’, he said.

‘’We have upgraded it and made it highly engaging without any dull moments. This will definitely satisfy you all!’’, he added.

However, soon after Chiranjeevi’s comments went viral on social media, Mohanlal fans reacted harshly calling Lucifer greatest of all time. ‘’No one can match Mohanlal’s screen presence’’, wrote a fan on social media.
