Poornima Indrajith in 'Thuramukham'
Actor Poornima Indrajith is once again strengthening her presence in the silver screen with the role of Nivin Pauly’s mother in ‘Thuramukham’, directed by Rajeev Ravi. As the film continues to garner positive response from the viewers, the actor opened up about how she prepared herself for the character in the movie.
Speaking to Mathrubhumi, Poornima said, “When Rajeev Ravi told me about playing a mother’s role, I got very excited as if I finally got something that I have always wanted to do. Also, I wished to play a challenging character when I came back after a break. I don’t think I might be able to play a similar role ever again.”
“In the film, my character goes through two phases of life. I had to gain 10 kg to portray the character in the second phase. I did feel tense about whether I’ll be able to lose weight again. But later, I did a lot of homework, both physically and mentally, for my role,” she said.
