Sidharth Bharatha and KPAC Lalitha
Kozhikode: Veteran actress KPAC Lalitha is recovering, informed her son and actor Sidharth Bharathan via Facebook. He posted “Amma is fine and recuperating well. No need to panic. Thank you all for the love, concern and prayers.”
KPAC was admitted to the ICU of a private hospital in Kochi for multiple health issues and is under close observation of a team of doctors. She was hospitalised in Thrissur ten days ago and was shifted to Ernakulam for advanced treatment.
It is learnt that she will have to undergo a liver transplant. However, the final decision regarding the surgery will be taken considering her age and health, it is hinted.
The 74-year-old actress, the chairperson of the Kerala Sangeetha Nataka Akademi, has been unwell for a few weeks.
Lalitha is wife of one of Kerala's most famous directors Bharathan, who passed away in 1998. Her son Sidharth is also an actor and has directed a few films.
