Kochi: The Film Exhibitors United Organisation of Kerala (FEUOK) has warned actor Fahadh Faasil against acting in movies on OTT platforms. The FEUOK warned the popular actor after his movies are continuously released through OTT platforms.
Three movies of Fahadh were released via OTT during the lockdown period. ‘C U Soon’ directed by Mahesh Narayanan, ‘Irul’ directed by Naseef Yusuf Izuddin and ‘Joji’ directed by Dileesh Pothan were his latest films.
The FEUOK members are of the stand that they would not allow Fahadh’s movies in theatres, if he continues to cooperate with OTT platforms. They also warned that Mahesh Narayanan’s big budget movie ‘Malik’ also will face difficulties for screening as a consequence of this. The decision was taken after the first meeting of the new FEUOK committee.
Actor Dileep and producer B Unnikrishnan had talked with Fahadh Faasil over phone regarding the matter. They informed him about the decision of the organisation and also requested to take a decision at the earliest. Fahadh’s decision on this is awaited.
The committee also decided not to exhibit Drishyam 2 directed by Jeethu Joseph in theatres. The movie was released via Amazon Prime. There were assumptions that it will be screened in theatres later.
