Kochi: Actor Dulquer Salmaan has taken up a mission to popularise finger-tutting among differently-abled children for uplifting them to mainstream society. The project will be launched as a part of ‘Community for Happiness’ formed by Dulquer’s Wayfarer Films Private Ltd.
Finger-tutting is a dance form, which comprises intricate movements of fingers that aid differently abled children with brain development. Choreographer Imthiyas Aboobacker composed the finger dance for the children.
Finger-tutting will be taught in the selected 324 schools in 14 districts in the state. Psychiatry head of Govt Medical College Dr Sumesh and the head of paediatric department Dr Siju Raveendran will extend their support for the programme.
