Kochi: In the conspiracy case against Malayalam actor Dileep, the crime branch team has informed that the actor's conversation with an Iranian citizen is also suspected to be destroyed from his phone. The crime branch found that one of the 12 WhatsApp chats removed from Dileep's phone was that of Gulshan, an Iranian.

He is one who translates foreign movies into the Iranian language. He has dubbed many of Dileep's films into his native language. The crime branch team has also claimed that they obtained evidence confirming director Balachandra Kumar's revelation that Dileep had received the footage of the actress being attacked. According to them, the information was obtained from a hard disk seized from Lab Systems India Limited in Mumbai. It is reported that Dileep had sent his mobile phones to this lab for destroying the data. The probe team received the information from the phones used by Dileep and his brother-in-law Suraj.

The probe officers reported that even though Dileep and others have tried to destroy the information on the phones, Crime Branch had got some crucial evidence from the phones including the presence of Pulsar Suni in the locality of Dileep’s house.

The crime branch also obtained voice clips of Balachandra Kumar and Dileep talking about the attack.

A photo of the court documents was also obtained from Dileep's phone. These are the documents signed by the Presiding Officer. An application was filed on March 29 seeking permission from the Ernakulam Additional Sessions Court to inquire into the matter.

Presently, Kavya Madhavan is in Chennai. The probe team is planning to question her once she returns.
