Malayalam actor Asif Ali heaped praise on the upcoming Mammootty-starrer 'Bramayugam'. He also denied reports that he declined to be involved in the film, which was directed by ‘Bhoothakaalam’ star Rahul Sadasivan and produced by Nigh Shift Studios and YNot Studios.
Asif Ali also revealed that Mammootty's character in the movie is very challenging and that he never thought of the veteran actor agreeing to do such a role.
"I'm afraid to commit to being part of experimental films. However, after seeing films like Mammmokka's Rorschach, my inhibition of playing such characters subsided. In ‘Brahamyugam’, I was supposed to play a character named Arjun. Unfortunately, filming began considerably earlier than I had anticipated. As a result, I couldn't be a part of the project. I was unable to join the film since I signed up for another movie," he said.
Asif Ali stated that Brahmayugam would become a blockbuster. The actor also praised Mammootty for his decision in taking on such a production.
"I've read the script and listened to the movie's plot. I won't be able to predict whether the film will be a success or a failure. However, I can confirm that it will be one of the most distinctive Malayalam films ever released. Mammootty is poised to provide a spectacular performance," he said. Asif Ali added that Arjun Ashokan will also be doing an interesting character in the movie.
